Accommodations for Family and Group Gatherings

Lakeview Inn is offers lodging for family, group and small corporate gatherings. 16 guest rooms, all with private baths, make it the perfect place to stay. You can also choose to have your special event at a local restaurant, summer camp, or even the Songo River Queen II paddle wheeler. Then enjoy the convenience of returning to your comfortable accommodations at the inn for a good night’s sleep.

Cyclists, skiers, leaf peepers and other groups touring the area will find that Lakeview Inn provides plenty of space for guests to get together and socialize, but also gives you the privacy of your own room and bath. Regardless of your group activity the convenient location of the inn makes it the perfect home base from which to start your Maine experience.

In the morning, gather together in the large dining area that can seat 30 people and share stories of the night before. Enjoy a bountiful breakfast with friends and make plans for the day. After an exhausting day of fun, meet on the covered porch with a cool beverage and ponder over which of many fine restaurants to try.

The entire inn or a block of rooms can be booked for your next group trip or special occasion. The biggest difference between blocking and not blocking is that if you decide not to block your rooms then all reservations are on a first-come-first-served basis to the general public including your guests.

Each room is sold as double occupancy (2 persons). Prices can vary depending on room selection, not including a 9% Maine lodging tax. As a smaller inn with high demand during the summer months, we do not offer general discounted rates during the peak season; however, guests booking multiple nights may be eligible for a discount based on length of stay.

Each reservation will require a first night’s deposit to hold their reservation. Our standard cancellation policy does apply, and you can find them under Polices on our website. We do offer travel protection for unexpected events. 

Each room at Lakeview Inn is priced for double occupancy (2 guests). For any **additional guests—regardless of age—a charge of $35 per person, per night will apply. Please note that not all rooms can accommodate more than two guests, so we kindly ask that parties with extra guests inquire ahead of time to ensure suitable accommodations.

Children & Family Stays: We’re pleased to welcome families and well-behaved children to Lakeview Inn. While we are family-friendly, guests should be aware that the Inn is designed for quiet comfort and relaxation and may not be ideal for rambunctious play or high-energy activities. We kindly ask parents to ensure that their children are respectful of the tranquil environment and other guests.

Please note that Lakeview Inn was built in 1906 and retains much of its historic charm, including a classic multi-floor layout. As such, we do not have any guest rooms on the main floor, and there is no elevator on the property. All guests must be able to navigate stairs with their luggage in order to access their accommodations. We appreciate your understanding and encourage guests with mobility concerns to reach out before booking so we can help determine if our property will comfortably suit their needs.

A complimentary set-menu breakfast is included with each stay at Lakeview Inn. While we strive to offer a satisfying morning meal for all our guests, those with specific dietary restrictions or allergies should plan accordingly, as menu substitutions may be limited.

 Each room at the Lakeview Inn includes one dedicated parking space. For guests who are sharing a room and arriving in separate vehicles, we kindly ask that they carpool or make alternative parking arrangements in advance. This helps ensure smooth accommodations for all guests and keeps our parking area accessible.

Due to the added coordination and communication required for private group bookings, a non-refundable Group hosting Fee of $250 will be applied when reserving a block of rooms. This fee helps cover the administrative time and resources needed to ensure your stay is smooth and seamless for all guests.   • How guests make their reservations

Once your deposit is received, we’ll provide you with a unique reservation link that grants guests access to book directly within your dedicated room block at Lakeview Inn.

This link ensures that your guests can easily reserve their rooms while we maintain exclusivity for your group. You are welcome to share it on your event website, email invitations, or any other guest communications.

  • Deposit for Block

If all rooms within your block are booked by your guests, your deposit is fully refundable. Please allow 7–10 business days for the refund to be processed and credited back to your account. This refund applies only if the room block is entirely filled before the release date, and does not include the $250 Group Hosting Fee, which is non-refundable.

Your deposit is refundable after all rooms have been booked. It may take 7-10 days to receive your deposit credit back. If you cancel your event the following fees will be taken from your deposit depending on the number of days before your scheduled event and are as follows:

180 days = 50% deposit forfeit

179-91 days= 75% deposit forfeit

90-0 days = 100% of your deposit forfeit

  • Your deposit will allow us to block out the rooms for your guests.  Since we are blocking the rooms for your event and making the rooms unavailable to others, your deposit will be forfeited to cover any of the unsold rooms.

two-night minimum stay per room is required for special events. If your guests would like to stay longer either before your wedding or afterward, they will need to let us know and is dependent on room availability. There will be a $3.00 per day, per room service fee added to each room to be charged to the credit card that is used as final payment for the reservation.

Holiday Weekend Minimum Stay: Due to your event coinciding with a holiday weekend, a three-night minimum stay per room is required for all special event bookings. This policy ensures adequate accommodations and allows us to provide the best experience to guests during peak periods.

Check-in times for all guests are between 3 pm & 7 pm.  Early check-ins are allowed if the room is available, however, it is not guaranteed. There will be an early check-in fee applied if granted.

  • Events at the Lakeview Inn

Pre-Party/After-Party Gatherings: While we welcome celebratory moments, any pre-party or after-party gatherings held at the Inn require advance approval from management. If approved, a special event fee of $350 will be applied to the credit card on file used for the group deposit. Please note that any damages incurred during these gatherings will also be charged to the same card. This policy helps ensure a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests.

If you are planning pre-wedding activities, it would be wise for those invited to the event to make their arrival date a day earlier.
